im back! from obs and famine camp.
OBS
overall, i guess it was pretty fun. getting to kayak around pulau ubin for the 2nd time is still as exciting as ever. except this time it was much harder cuz we used the 3 man kayak.(WTH i hav nv seen or use it b4 la. so diff to manoevre.)
1st day: those introduction shitty stuff. say your name and blah blah blah. then we went for kayak drill. learn those capsize thinggy and rescue thinggy. ok this time it was really bad cuz our rescuers FLOATED AWAY!!!! leaving me and jas stranded. luckily got terry,sokyin and xianhui to help out. but we were in the water for a bloody long time. i tink got more than 20 mins. and so i ended up drinking 500ml of seawater? then there was this time when jas kicked me in the tummy. and i tot i bumped into like a sea creature that was black or sth. scared the hell out of me la. RESCUERS ARH!!! where were you?? be glad tat we didnt pangseh u when it was ur turn to capsize ok. went to sleep in the jungle. got many many bites on my hands and legs and so i couldnt sleep. ended up doing sentry duty for more than the time i should do. me and jas heard baby CRYING! woohoo. first supernatural encounter in OBS for me. yay! but it went off really fast. slept at 3 am in a very uncomfortable position. (got tree root at my back. why always kena tree root. last time also.) woke up every half an hour cuz i was really really unable to sleep consistently. then finally woke up at 7 am. in a very shaggy and tired state.
2nd day: kayak expedition. got a very very VERY bad sunburn. with my skin lobster red. scalp peeling and face peeling. my thighs got the FBT shorts marking. my hands half black half white. ankles got even worst. my feet is now VISIBILY white when my legs are tan. its really disgusting. but....it was fun lor. saw many many many jellyfishes and was praying and hoping we do not capsize. (like wen i was in sec 3 we capsized when we were in a storm, got a really bad shock then cuz i was shivering like mad when we got onto shore. lost the water bottles and the worst thing is always getting to drink the dirty and smelly salt water) went to camp site 1 where i went during sec 3. past memories started flowing back. i luv livingstone la. did the jetty jump which was fantastic cuz i got the butterfly feeling thinggy when i was dropping down. we cooked ourselves. many of us were really grumpy here cuz of XXX incident. then we slept on the concrete floor which was MUCH MUCH better than the jungle one. but also much much colder. didnt bring sleeping bag cuz the obs proposal STATED that we will sleep in bunks. so great. and oh i forgot to mention that the WHOLE obs trip NEVER followed the proposal. superb man. -_-
3rd day: kayak for 10 mins back to camp site 2. washed the raincoats, jerry cans and groundsheets. or should i say onli SOME washed it and helped to dry it. it rained. me, yang, jas and kt played while washing the things. FUN FUN FUN! me and jas ended up bathing a little. only shampooed our hair and soaped WITH OUR CLOTHES on. great experience la. then we went to do the flying fox. shiok but onli lasted 30 sec i tink. so not thrilling. got a bit of the butterfly feeling only. then we ended the day liao lor. went back to jetty to wait for daddy to fetch me.
my lips became swollen though. i tot it was suburn. but mum said it may be some insect bite. cuz it doesnt look like sunburn. and no one in the camp has it so it should be an insect bite. took a photo of my horribly deformed lip. this photo im recovering liao. so it doesnt look that bad. but there was actually PUS coming out of my lips lor. omg. i feel so dirty. gross.
i am pulling my lip down. not swollen.
overall i still prefered the sec 3 obs camp.
famine camp
nothing much to say. i mean the name says it all right. famine=starving. but i learnt that the kids are really really really very very very poor thing. they are so happy with so little and i feel guilty. i will donate and help them when i grow up; big enough to sponser a child and also to go overseas to volunteer my services. =)
after famine i literally gorged myself with food at causeway foodcourt after not eating well for 5 days. so i ended up having a diarrhoea the next day. hee hee.
world without poverty! yeah!
update on my pets.
birdy babies grew really huge. i took one out to handfeed cuz the nest is too squeezy. still deciding whether to sell them or not. cuz their colours are not fully shown. so yep...daddy wants RED. everything also RED! so superstitious la he...red red red. like so good meh. mixed colours also very nice wat. ><
I'M the biggest baby!
such a cutie isnt she/he. abit of yellow. plus some green on the head and wing. looks abit like her/his papa.
oh yes. i seperated gamma and gubble already. becuz gamma bullied gubble until he bled and lost ALOT of feathers. this happened when i was in obs. but he looks really traumatised. so i decided to take him out. and let gamma take care of the babies herself. after common tests, i will take the remaining babies out and handfeed them. cuz the nest is seriously dirty and small.
